The Nike Air More Uptempo Low Hides In “Triple Black”

In case you haven’t heard, the sneaker Scottie Pippen made famous in the 90s is back on shelves as a low-top. Now quietly part of Nike’s retro catalog for almost a year, the Air More Uptempo Low is finally checking quintessential “Triple Black” makeup off its to-do list.

We can’t ignore that any monotone Air Uptempo diminishes the model’s best quality, that of course being the oversized “AIR” text that looms over the sides. The protruding lettering is made from canvas as opposed to leather on the low-top Air Uptempo, complemented here by black suede and mesh. The only real break from “Triple Black” appears on the heel, complete with a white TPU Swoosh logo.
