The White Nike Air Foamposite One Drops Tomorrow

What was supposed to be a major comeback year for the Air Foamposite One seems to have fallen flat. After the re-release of the Galaxy Foamposites back in February, the Foam frenzy has fizzled feverishly foreshadowing another prolonged period of quietude for the futuristic model. Can a White Nike Foamposite provide a boost?

The silhouette remembered for its creative and borderline tacky patterns on the upper has gone the complete opposite direction, opting for an angelic white throughout the upper. From the foam-molded build to the lace collar to the plush interior, these White Foamposites show no signs of color save the hits of black on the Penny logo on the tongue and exposed carbon fiber plating on the mid-foot. This, of course, wasn’t Nike’s first try at all-white Foamposites, but we’re clearly in a different era.

Despite the community coming out of the woodworks for the Galaxy Foamposite, it hasn’t yet met a ripple effect on its subsequent launches. The “Psychic Blue” colorway is sitting on shelves, with units moved only when coupon codes are in play. The Black/Volt saw more success, but hasn’t quite made the expected waves despite being a strong color. All-White is always a good look for Summer; whether or not people want it on Foams remains to be seen.
